E’ già tempo di pensare alla nuova stagione, alla nuova Premier League, cercando di replicare e, se possibile, migliorare l’ottimo lavoro messo a segno durante questa campagna. La strada per arrivare all’obbiettivo, in fondo, non sembra poi così lontana.

Ma, a proposito di lavoro. Cercando di spazzare via le baggianate e le illazioni ridicole lette sui giornali delle ultime settimane, le fonti ufficiali (e quindi attendibili) del nostro Club, parlano di un Wengèr già al lavoro (appunto) per rinforzare l’attuale rosa. Facciamo un breve riepilogo. Con l’autorizzazione del Direttivo, il buon Arsenio ha dichiarato di voler rimpinguare il gruppo con la finalità di aumentarne il tasso tecnico e quindi qualitativo.

Quantizzando il concetto, pare che l’alsaziano sia interessato a mettere a segno due o tre acquisti di ottimo livello. E, a dispetto delle ridicole voci di mercato comparse sui giornali italiani, che dipingono l’Arsenal come il mercatino delle occasioni (Fabregàs al Real, Adebayor al Milan, Hleb all’Inter, Clichy alla Juventus, ecc ecc.), sembra che l’organico resterà intatto, eccezion fatta per Lehmann (addio certo) e Gilberto (addio probabile). Wengèr, seccato dalla vicenda Flamini, ha più volte dichiarato che non permetterà ai giocatori sotto contratto di lasciare il Club.

Anche a costo che tali giocatori possano impugnare la clausola Webster e procedere per macchinose (nonchè rischiose) vie legali. Il riferimento al signor Shpilevski è puramente casuale. Sulle indiscrezioni riguardo a chi possano essere i nuovi acquisti dell’Arsenal 2008/2009 sappiamo ben poco. Senza snaturarsi dalla sua solita linea di pensiero, Arsenio ha affermato che il criterio di ricerca sarà in base al valore tecnico del giocatore, per cui esperienza e qualità sono i requisiti preferenziali. Già, l’esperienza. Non soltanto giovani talenti da far maturare.

E’ proprio questa la novità trapelata dalle ultime interviste al manager dell’Arsenal. Che poi ha aggiunto:”Penso che stavolta serviranno giocatori esperti, che già conoscano le insidie e la difficoltà della Premier League. Sebbene i giocatori in questione sono più costosi rispetto agli altri. Vorrà dire che quest’anno cercherò di mediare tra giocatori esperti di Premier e giocatori nuovi.”

Dichiarazioni significative (veritiere) e anche di belle speranze. Tenendo conto di questo, del fatto che  il diktat resterà “meglio un grande giocatore, che un grande nome”, e del fatto che Wengèr non disdegna comunque i talenti francesi, forse qualche piccolo indizio sulla nostra prossima campagna acquisti c’è già. Senza contare che Arsenio, a sua detta, ha intenzione di chiudere il tutto a breve termine:”So già cosa voglio, e ho intenzione di chiudere le operazioni nelle prossime due o tre settimane.” Per cui, se manterrà la parola come ha sempre fatto, tra poco ne sapremo di più.
