[lang_en]Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he was at fault for Emmanuel Adebayor’s isolation during the 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

“Sometimes Adebayor was a bit too isolated up there. Maybe I could have played Theo Walcott up front, or Eduardo (da Silva) or Niklas Bendnter. But I went for a different approach,” Wenger said.
“Without Robin van Persie the balance in the final third was not completely right. That’s my fault. I’d look at that again.
“In the final third, we dropped a little bit too much off and that took something out of our game.
“The game didn’t reach the level in terms of technique that I’d expected it to reach, but it was still an interesting game with contrasting styles.”

In the Carling Cup quarter-final draw, last year’s beaten finalists Arsenal travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn in a clash between two of the Premier League’s in-form teams.

Fabianski has no intention of giving up his place in Arsene Wenger’s youthful cup side.

“We have not spoken about this but I hope the manager will not change the principle of fielding the same reserve goalkeeper in all Carling Cup games,” Fabianski told Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.
“I would like to play in the final at the new Wembley. I do not know who will be the first choice goalkeeper in the FA Cup as we have not started our participation in this tournament yet.
“When [Jens] Lehmann suffered injury I did not think that it is my turn to become a first choice goalkeeper. I knew that [Manuel] Almunia will receive a chance as he had been waiting for this moment for three or four years. I am also patient but I hope my wait will be shorter.”
“Before the game the boss informed us that I was going to be the captain of the team. Everybody was surprised as the 31-year-old Gilberto Silva was also in the starting line up.
“Earlier the players thought that nobody else can be the captain. However, Gilberto was probably not so keen to take the captain’s armband and Wenger gave it to me.”

Justin Hoyte is being linked with a January move to Everton.
