E’ proprio vero. Esistono cose che i milioni non possono comprare. Ci si sforza, spendendo cifre assurde per comprare giocatori di livello assoluto e metterli insieme per formare supersquadre. Ma nella maggior parte dei casi, quello spettacolo offerto da un manipolo di ventenni, in grado di mutare ogni partita di calcio in un concerto di emozioni, velocità, classe e brillantezza, non viene eguagliato.

Me ne rendo conto di nuovo, durante la giornata 12 di Premiership, nella Sfida, quella per antonomasia, quella con la “S” maiuscola, tra Arsenal e Manchester United. Per quanto né dica la storia recente del Chelsea, con annesso proprietario milionario, e il blasone del Liverpool dei petro-dollari americani, lo spettacolo, inteso nel puro senso del termine, non fa parte del loro pedigree. Le due squadre di oggi si sono battute a viso aperto, generando una delle partite più affascinanti degli ultimi anni, in cui tale rivalità non ha fatto altro che crescere di intensità. Intensità come tema dominante della gara odierna.

L’Arsenal, ancora orfano di Van Persie e in campo con la formazione anti-Liverpool della scorsa settimana, parte subito bene, con uno stacco di Adebayor su cross di Clichy, che però si perde alto. Ferguson, che conosce bene i suoi giovani avversari, sopperisce con Anderson in mezzo al campo alla mancanza di Scholes, affidando l’attacco al duo Tevèz-Rooney, entrambi molto mobili. Il supporto di Cristiano Ronaldo è preziosissimo, oltre che presente spesso in tutte le chance dei Red Devils. Al 16’, su un suo suggerimento dalla destra, Giggs manca clamorosamente il tap-in vincente.

E’ l’unico vero brivido provato dai nostri, che poi riprendono le redini del gioco, mettendo in difficoltà gli uomini di Fergie sulle fascie. La bomba di Kolo, dopo lo scambio con Rosicky, si perde alta sulla traversa; ci prova poi Gallas, su colpo di testa, imbeccato dal calcio di punizione di Fabregas. Ottimo Van Der Sar. Poi, prima del fischio finale della prima frazione, arriva il sorpasso avversario. Ronaldo va via a Flamini, centrando la sfera per Rooney: il numero 10 anticipa Gallas, ingannando Almunia in uscita. L’Arsenal non demorde, e trova il pareggio con Fabregàs, abile a sfruttare il cross basso di Sagna, mettendo in rete con freddezza.

I Gunners ritrovano gioco e morale, dominando il possesso palla e imbrigliando lo United, incapace di costruire azioni. Ma, all’83’ passano nuovamente, stavolta con Ronaldo che, su cross di Evra, mette dentro a porta sguarnita. Ferguson vede i tre punti, ma i Gunners non restano inermi e continuano a portare con decisione i loro attacchi verso la porta di Van Der Sar. Grinta e costanza dei nostri, vengono premiate proprio allo scadere dei 90’ regolamentari, quando Gallas, in mischia, mette dentro con un tiro al volo sottomisura, nonostante Edwin avesse respinto la palla, finita però già oltre la linea di porta.

Pareggio che vale una vittoria, per spettacolo e qualità di gioco espressi contro un grande Manchester United. I Gunners confermano saldamente la leadership ancora una volta. E con un match (Newcastle) ancora da recuperare. [/lang_it]

Anyway, in the greatest part of the situations, the show displayed by a little group of youngsters (able to switch every single match in a concert of emotions, speed, class and skill) is not equalized.

Both teams have battled each other with hype and intensity.

The intensity will be the main theme of today’s match. The Arsenal, still without Van Persie, and with the same anti-Liverpool formation, take a good start, with a header by Adebayor, on a Clichy’s cross, finished over the bar. The English striker takes the time to Gallas, and puts the ball in, joking Almunia. The Arsenal don’t give up, and find the equalizer with Fabregàs, able to collect the low cross by Sagna, and convert it with coolness. Gunners gets self-confidence and morale, blocking Manchester, unable to construct efforts. But, at 83’, they scores again, this time with Ronaldo, on Evra’s pass from the left.
